Applicants must be residents of the state of Massachusetts for at least one year prior to the beginning of the academic year in which the scholarship is used. They also must be members of one of the following groups of people: veterans or active members of the armed forces, Native Americans, senior citizens or clients of either the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission or Commission for the Blind. Students must be enrolled in at least three credits per semester in a state undergraduate or certificate program, and they must remain in satisfactory academic standing.
