Applicants must be in the second semester of their junior year in a teaching program at a Tennessee college, and they must be enrolled full-time. Students must have at least a 3.5 GPA and an SAT or ACT score that is at least as high as the national average. They must not have any defaulted state or federal student loans. Recipients must agree to teach in a Tennessee elementary or secondary school for a period of time upon graduation.
