Applicants must be current high school seniors who are U.S. citizens and Wisconsin residents. They must plan to enroll in an undergraduate engineering program at an ABET-accredited school and must intend to pursue careers in engineering after graduating. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or more and an ACT composite score of at least 24. Selection is based on GPA, ACT score, class rank, extracurricular involvement, honors, personal essay and any AP or college-level courses taken.
