Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents, high school graduates or GED recipients and Oregon residents who are single heads of household with custody of one or more dependent children. They must be supporting their child(ren) without the aid of a domestic partner. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA or 2650 GED score and must be attending or planning to attend a non-profit Oregon college or community college on a full-time basis by fall of the application year. Applicants who owe an educational loan grant or who have defaulted student loans are ineligible, as are those who already hold a bachelor's degree. Selection is based on financial need.
