Applicants must be in their third or fourth year at a public college in the state of Massachusetts, and they must be enrolled in a field with teacher shortages. They must have a 3.0 GPA in general education courses, and they must remain in satisfactory academic standing while receiving the scholarship. Students must agree to work in a public school in Massachusetts for two years after earning a bachelor's degree.
