Applicants must be female members of FFA working towards two or four-year degrees in an agriculture-related field. Majors not accepted include dietetics, food service, public service, packaging, parks and recreation studies, biosciences, technology, engineering, marine biology and natural resource management. Applicants must also reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or West Virginia. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required as well as participation in community service, financial need and leadership ability. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
