This scholarship helps students who exhibit academic and artistic excellence. Criteria: * High school senior in South Carolina public school * Attended a South Carolina public school for the past two consecutive years * U.S. citizen* A sonnet, lyric or narrative poem no longer than one page must be submitted for the creative writing category * An original, short, one-act play with a performing time of 20 to 45 minutes must be submitted for the drama category * An original composition of three to five minutes must be submitted for the music category * An original visual composition must be submitted for the visual arts category * Compositions are judged on creativity, originality and quality of expression and content.
