Applicants must attend an accredited institution whose main office is located in the following Utah counties: Cache, Davis, Salt Lake, Tooele, Utah or Weber County. Students may also attend an online accredited institution but must physically live in one of the counties. Applicants must be completing a bachelor's degree in nursing associate (RN), nursing, respiratory therapy, teaching or engineering (chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental or mechanical) or a transfer program in pre-engineering. Students must be enrolled full-time (12 credits or more per semester during two consecutive semesters beginning in the fall (fall and winter/spring)) OR be enrolled full-time in classes for one semester and practicum for the other semester. A minimum 3.25 GPA is required. All applicants will receive a disposition letter. Those awarded a scholarship will be required to sign an acceptance letter/waiver form.
